Free webinars support the industry’s transition to Integrated Farm Assurance version 6

In anticipation of the obligatory implementation of Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) version 6 smart for fruit and vegetables – becoming will become mandatory on 1 January 2024 – the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat is taking proactive steps to ensure the industry is well prepared. After the success of last year’s informative webinars following the publication of the new standard documents, we are delighted to announce a second series of free webinars aimed at guiding stakeholders through the adoption of the new standard. 

The “Transitioning to IFA v6” webinar series was designed to offer participants a comprehensive understanding of the revised standard, incorporating new principles and criteria that will shape the future of agricultural practices. 

One key feature of this webinar series is its specific focus on the fruit and vegetables sector, catering to the unique needs and challenges faced by producers in this field. These sessions will be led by Rebecca Anderson and Marco Villegas – experts in the field of quality and safety certification for the food industry.  

With over a decade of experience in the food sector, Rebecca serves as the technical expert and trainer for GLOBALG.A.P. North America.

Marco Villegas is the key account manager for Mexico, where he works to strengthen the country’s agricultural and food supply chains through cooperation agreements.

The upcoming webinars are an invaluable opportunity for industry professionals and stakeholders to gain direct insights into the new standard and have their questions answered in a clear and straightforward manner. 

This initiative also reaffirms our commitment to promoting sustainability and best practices in the agricultural industry, ensuring that stakeholders are well prepared for the upcoming changes in IFA v6.
