GLOBALG.A.P. Community Membership

“One of our main motivations for joining GLOBALG.A.P. is to provide even greater transparency in our supply chains,” says Bernd Neufert, Procurement Manager at Eckes-Granini. “We are interested in learning more about our producers and supporting them in possible improvement projects.” With GLOBALG.A.P. Community Membership comes the connected benefits of database and bookmarking access – key tools in achieving this goal. Furthermore, GLOBALG.A.P. Community Membership demonstrates support for the GLOBALG.A.P. standards which help to identify and minimize risks to supply chain security.

Taking corporate social responsibility seriously

Eckes-Granini has an ambitious goal: To become one of the world’s most sustainable companies in the juice and fruit beverage sector. As a result, their raw materials are selected according to strict criteria that support the protection of our environment. In line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the group also aims to consistently reduce waste and increase recycling.

Furthermore, in February 2019, the company joined the Sustainable Juice Covenant – an international initiative of leading players in the juice sector that have publicly committed to a target of 100% sustainable sources by 2030.
