InspiraFarms Cooling designs and manufactures modular, energy-efficient cold rooms and packhouses* for emerging markets, with a focus on African countries. The company was founded in 2012 with the goal of providing agricultural producers in the developing world with the tools, technology, and expertise to significantly reduce food losses and energy costs while accessing higher-value markets.

Community membership broadens InspiraFarms Cooling’s impact

This new partnership with GLOBALG.A.P. is a natural fit. “ InspiraFarms Cooling is incredibly glad to be able to join the GLOBALG.A.P. Modular cold rooms make African agriculture more profitable

“All the solutions we have,” explains Mitchell, “ from cold rooms to packhouses and slaughterhouses, are designed to minimize food loss and extend shelf life, for the benefit of both producers and the environment. For the 100+ units we have deployed across Africa, we have seen the value of good precooling, and its impact onpost-harvest losses, the economic advancement of growers, and the environment.”
